Indian at JoJo

Free poppadoms:

Prawn curry, saffron rice:

Chicken Tika:

I was seriously craving Indian food tonight. I LOVE Gaylord restaurant on Ashley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. The restaurant does not have its own website, but they are rated on TripAdvisor. Their lunch buffet is fantastic and very reasonably priced. However, thinking about the trek over to TST made me tired. I called Dial a Dinner instead. Yay! Great news, they deliver Gaylord food! Sad! They do not do "cross harbour deliveries." Ugh.

My Dad suggested Jo Jo Indian Cuisine in Wan Chai, which has been around for years. Off we went.

The poppadoms were nice and crispy. The vegetable samosas were mainly filled with potatoes, and actually a little cold inside. The prawn curry was tasty and a little bit spicy, mmm. The chicken tika was very satisfying-- the chicken was tender and grilled just right. I would definitely order that again. Unfortunately, the saffron rice was very bland. It kind of tasted like white rice.

Prices were very reasonable. For the 4 dishes it was around HK$270. The manager was also very friendly and kept coming to check on us.
I would like to try out their $88 lunch buffet sometime. Sounds like a great deal.
They also do free delivery for orders over $100.
