Tea time is the best time, InterContinental Hotel

Afternoon tea is probably one of the best traditions the British brought us in HK. I spent a nice long day in Kowloon visiting Nan Lian Gardens. Such a beautiful place. Who would have thought HK has so much to offer besides shopping and eating? Afterwards, we went for afternoon tea at Hotel Intercontinental in TST.

Amongst all the sweet things, I liked the strawberry cheesecake the most. Everything else tasted quite average...

It's been awhile since I've had a churro. It made me miss Disneyland! This churro was one of my favorites of the tea set. So fresh and not too chewy.

Oh how I love macaroons. Included in the tea set, the server brought out a box so you could select which ones you wanted. I got one of each-- vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, coffee, sesame, and chocolate. I have to admit, these ones are right up there with Laduree-- almost too good to be true!

Finally, the view! Just this makes the trek over to Kowloon worth it!

The tea set is on the pricey side: HKD398 for a set that serves two. (Includes coffee/tea for each person).
If you sit on the main floor of the hotel (same floor as Spoon and the reception, the tea is $398. If you sit at the floor below (where lunch/dinner buffets are served), the tea does not include macaroons and is $368.

  1. Life is sweet when you can take time out and enjoy it. It is those simple, small moments in life that are really precious. Hope you have many many more. Have a good day and a good live!
