Seafood Extravaganza at City Lobster

My dinner at City Lobster & Steak last night exceeded all expectations and made me feel a bit like Charlie entering Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, but in a seafood setting.

Seeing this cold seafood platter almost made me cry of happiness. Truly the freshest seafood.

Fried calamari-- one of my favorite dishes of the night. I liked that it differs from the typical calamari dishes found at seafood restaurants. This one had thin slices of fried garlic, ginger, and chili oil. It's accompanied by chipotle aioli, but the dish is so tasty on its own that I didn't add much dip to it.

New England Clam Chowder. A thumbs up for the clams not being too chewy.

Maryland Crab Cakes. The accompanying vegetables were slightly sweet and complimented the crab cakes perfectly.

A half eaten 2 pound steamed lobster.

Dessert plate, always a necessary end to a meal.

A meal here can be on the pricey side, but it's definitely worth it.
I really enjoyed the music at the restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise to not be listening to "elevator music" at a restaurant of this type. There was a nice mix of artists such as John Mayer, Coldplay, Dido, and Jewel.
