Casual brunch at Cafeteria

I just realized that all my recent entries have been on brunch foods, but I really don't think anyone would be interested in what I eat on week nights... Mostly pasta, edamame, pita & hummus and Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. (Different combinations of these over and over again).

Anyway, two weeks ago I went to a really nice brunch at Cafeteria in Chelsea. There was outdoor seating and lots of natural sunlight in the restaurant. I love how casual and reasonably priced this place was.

Homemade crispy buttermilk waffles with fresh berries and cinnamon cream. The cinnamon cream was so so tasty. The cinnamon gave a little kick but wasn't overly sweet. I didn't even need to add any syrup.

Beer Battered Fish and Chips. Are you supposed to taste the beer when there's beer batter? My friend and I discussed this for a while and couldn't figure it out. The fish was fried nicely-- the batter was thin and crispy.

Cafeteria is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

I just looked at the menu online and saw that they serve truffle parmesan fries! I have been craving that for the past few weeks and really want to go try it.
