Cafe Gray in Hong Kong

This post is long overdue... I was just looking through old food pictures and I can't believe I didn't blog about such a memorable experience! Cafe Gray is such a beautifully designed restaurant with huge windows, breathtaking views of the harbour, exceptional service, and to top it all off-- an incredible bathroom. I definitely believe that the bathroom in Felix at the Peninsula Hotel is gorgeous, but this one definitely falls in the same league of noteworthy bathrooms.

Fixed price menu selection.

Coq au Vin with spaetzle on the side.

Reminded me of the spaetzle served at boarding school-- that's a compliment.

Oxtail & ricotta raviolis. I'm a huge fan of oxtail. This dish was delicious, but seriously... 2 pieces of ravioli? Really?

Fresh berry pavlova. Superb!!! My only complaint would be the size...

Milk & dark chocolates.

And on to the best part... Bathroom pictures!

I think I need floor-to-ceiling windows in my bathroom one day.

The 2 course set lunch is HK$285 (US$37), and the 3 course set is HK$345 (US$44). The overall experience at the restaurant was wonderful, but the food really wasn't as enjoyable as the ambiance. The portions were just a little too tiny and also not quite worth the prices. I later visited Cafe Gray for after dinner drinks and really liked the cocktail choices and night views. I Probably wouldn't return for a meal.
