On our last day in DC we had brunch at Leopold's Kafe in Georgetown. We were in a hurry and managed to walk in, eat, and leave within 30 minutes. It was amazing. I also met the best server I've ever had in a US restaurant. Her name was Hannah (I checked the receipt). She was friendly, always smiling, and came to check on us at just the right times.
Rosemary & onion potatoes $7. Delicious and enough for 3 of us to share.
Lemon pancakes $10. It was a special and not on the regular menu. Not the fluffiest pancakes, but tasted SO good. The lemon flavor was strong but not overpowering and the insides were moist and perfect.
The restaurant serves German food and the menu has a lot of variety. There is also an extensive dessert/pastry selection.
Wish I lived in DC and could go here every weekend until I got sick of it.

(The only reason there wasn't a long wait for us was because we went on a Monday morning. My friend tried to go on a Saturday before and the wait was over an hour for 2 people. Be prepared to wait!)
