Brunch at Boutique Eat Shop
Side of bacon $5. Most generous portion I've ever seen. Unfortunately, none of it was crispy.
French toast with sausage, onion & apple $12. I liked the fluffiness of the french toast, but there wasn't anything very special about it.
Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with sauteed spinach & prosciutto wrapped asparagus $14. An interesting looking eggs benedict. I like it when there's spinach in eggs benedict, and the asparagus on the side helped with fulfilling a portion of vegetables for my meal. The dish wasn't spectacular, but it was decent.
Overall a fine but forgettable meal, hence the 2 month lag in writing this post.
My friend tried to order a latte and the server said that the restaurant does not have espresso nor do they have loose tea-- only tea bags and French press coffee. The service was scattered and we weren't checked on throughout the entire meal. Even the bill took a long time to be returned to us after we gave our credit cards.
I just looked up the brunch menu on Boutique Eat Shop's website and it's changed since I visited the restaurant in January. The eggs benedict and french toast are both different from those pictured & described here.
