Mermaid Inn revisited

My sister is kind of obsessed with mermaids, thus her love for Mermaid Inn began and slowly passed off onto me. The food is consistently great, especially the lobster roll! Visited last Saturday night with the roomies. Great experience as usual.

Maine Bouchot Mussels $12. Really can't eat just one of these... So simple yet impressive! There definitely wasn't enough bread to scoop up the broth at the end.

Lobster Bisque $8. I love it when restaurants don't get stingy with lobster meat in soup! Props to Mermaid Inn!

Lobster Roll with Old Bay Fries $26. Was looking forward to this all week. So very fresh and delicious.

Shrimp corndogs $9.

Lobster & Truffle Mac & Cheese $9. Omg. Hands down favorite dish of the night. So creamy and lovely. I really do believe that truffle makes everything better.

Hush Puppies $7. Kind of Mediocre. The roomie found this airy and lacking flavor.

  2. Ps. that mac and cheese is SO FRICKIN GOOD. I think I ate pretty much all of it before even touching the lobster roll, which is unusual for me...!
