Waffle Craving, Petite Abeille

I had such a strong craving for waffles last week that I spent quite some time looking up places to have waffles for brunch. I came across some great reviews for Petite Abeille, so four of us headed there at noon on Saturday. The wait was surprisingly short for a popular small restaurant, we only had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a table.
The smell of waffles fills the entire restaurant and it's such a wonderful surprise when one walks through the front doors.

Spotted the fries being served with a burger on someone else's plate, so we got a side order of it $4.



Cheese Croquettes $8.50. Just fried and so good. I usually love when a small salad is served on the side of fried foods, makes me feel better about eating the fried part. Unfortunately the lettuce here tasted way too much like grass. Bleh.



I got the waffle special of the day $14. The waffle wasn't as fluffy as I usually like, but was still pretty fantastic. The fresh whipped cream, blackberries, bananas, strawberries and strawberry sauce= a heavenly combination.




Omelette Maison: smoked salmon, scallions & sour cream $13.50. Had a bite of this off my friend's plate. Loved the salmon.
