I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend! Mine was filled with lots of naps, family time, and of course feasts & leftovers!
I spent Thanksgiving day in Long Island, and during the early afternoon we stepped out into my uncle's backyard to look around. It's so strange to think that beautiful suburbs exist just a short train ride away from New York City.
Shortly after taking a few pictures of this backyard, we started taking dozens of pictures of ourselves (ANTM-style). Yep, we're a little bit crazy. I'll spare you our self-portraits though, and just leave you with this:
Now onto the stars of the Thanksgiving feast:
Candied yams topped with pecans.
Brussel sprouts with pine nuts.
And everything else:
The 16 pound turkey!
We ended the night by drinking hot toddies (is that the plural for "toddy"?) by the bonfire.
And now the countdown to next year's feast begins...
