Hong Kong: Korean Barbeque at Arirang

My favorite Korean barbeque place! I've blogged about Arirang before, but it's soooo good it deserves another mention. We visited the restaurant on a weekday, so we got to take advantage of the lunch set menus. The beef/chicken/spicy pork/lamb sets are HK$78 (USD 10), while the beef short rib is HK$98 (USD 12.64). The 5 of us shared 2 chicken sets, 1 beef, and a seafood pancake. Each set is served with side dishes, soup, and dessert-- really quite a good deal for Hong Kong.

The small side dishes. My favorites are the sweet potato at the bottom right corner, and the kimchi.

Kimchi always reminds me of my friend Christine, and the time her mom so kindly packed giant tupperwares of homemade kimchi for me to bring home to my family.

Cooking is so fun!

Seafood pancake (large). A perfectly chewy texture with a generous amount of seafood thrown in.

The dessert that used to come with the sets was vanilla ice cream. It's now little mochi ice creams. Not bad, but being placed on the table while still in their individual plastic wrappers isn't very impressive.

After lunch, my sister and I didn't have any plans, so we followed our dad around Causeway Bay while he ran errands.

Below is a blurred picture of the crowds we had to push through. (Still love Causeway though).
