After reading reviews on Westville being a small place, my friend and I decided to meet up at 11:30am last Saturday. There were already quite a few people when we arrived, but we didn't have to wait at all.
Greek Salad, $10: Salad over grilled bread with melted herb goat cheese, olives, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese. So fresh! There wasn't a lot of dressing, but there were enough flavors to compensate for that.
Poached eggs special, $13: eggs benedict with cooked salmon, avocado, asparagus on Portuguese muffin. This could easily become my go-to brunch meal. Such a great combination of healthy foods! The Portuguese muffin has the texture of a pancake, but is salty instead of sweet. It was definitely a tastier option than the usual English muffin!
Rhubarb Pie (seasonal special), $7: Rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream. My friend and I both have very strong loves for sweet things, so dessert was a given. This pie arrived warm and had the best crust ever. It had just the right amount of chewiness. The tart flavors were a great balance for the sweet ice cream too.
