Barcelona: Hotel Montecarlo

From the moment when we arrived until our departure, we were impressed by Hotel Montecarlo. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The location is perfect, right on la rambla (and across the street from Amorino!), a 5 minute walk to La Boqueria, and close to Catalunya Plaza and the best tapas ever at Ciudad Condal.

The staff was very welcoming, and we found Sarah at the front desk to be particularly helpful. She had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Hotel Montecarlo also provides complimentary snacks every day from 11am to 11pm. There were mini croissants, rolls, cookies, and bottled juices.

The beautiful 5 story building dates back to 1912.

View from the rooftop of the hotel.

Our spacious corner room with a king bed.

Couldn't decide which I liked more, the giant bathtub or the fact that there was a window in the bathroom.
