It's been getting cold in NYC (and even started snowing this morning!), which means it's the most perfect time to stuff oneself silly. A recent Sunday included cheering on my uncle who ran in the NYC marathon, grabbing a quick sushi lunch, heading crosstown to buy cookies at the most wonderful Levain Bakery, and ending the day with a crab-filled feast at Imperial Palace in Flushing. The joys of living in NYC...

An assortment of Levain cookies-- oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, dark chocolate with peanut butter chips, and peanut butter.

The middle of the most amazing cookie in the world. They are as thick as scones, but incredibly moist and perfectly baked; slightly crispy on the outside, and hot and doughy in the inside.

A steamed egg crab dish at Imperial Palace.

  1. OMG.. I have to visit Levain Bakery, wish you had told me when you were going. So which one was your favorite cookie out of the assortment?

    1. We'll go together next time! It was so busy because of the marathon happening nearby. The chocolate chip is the BEST!

  2. I live relatively close to Levain...I still haven't braved the line! I must do so now. :)
